The original ban on Skull’s account, while strict, was well within SA-X’s right. It’s known that topics in feedback are meant to stay on-topic. SA-X had also issued several fair warnings as to what would happen. Thus, Skull was banned.
I think that his constant banning of his secondary accounts was out of line though.
I don’t see how he was off-topic, though. The other people, including myself on one post, were more off-topic then he was.
Thats why I’m saying I don’t understand, why ban skull kid but leave the rest unscathed?
He had issued a warning, several in fact. He let people know they were going off topic. Skull was the one who persisted.
The initial ban, although harsh, was perfectly aligned within the rules. Feedback is a section meant for serious discussions about the site or things involving it.
With that being said, I believe that SA-X’s thread itself was spammish. For one, I don’t believe he was actually trying to get anybody demoted. Instead, he was just being his usual self and going along with everything. However, there is a chance that the thread was serious.
As for the other multiple bans given to Skull_Kid’s other accounts. No, they were not fair. He mentioned on MSN that he was going to ban ban Skull’s other accounts, and I didn’t say anything because I thought he was messing around about it. Had I realized he was being serious I would have stopped it. But I went to sleep immediately after Skull’s initial ban was given.
I’ve no idea where SA-X got the idea that he could ban all of Skull_Kid’s accounts like that. But it’s not something that just needs to be let go of. Personally, if it were me. I’d give him repetitive 24 hour bans until Bjarne was contacted about the situation and made a decision about what to do.

true,
This isn’t in the response to Ats quote, but here:
and why is it out of a mods right to re ban a persons multiple accounts?
last time I checked bannings were supposed to keep people off the site for a certain amount of time,
not just “hey you cant use this account but feel free to make another one”

Hmmmm, I’ll take that as a good answer.
The ban was harsh, I suppose nothing more. The ban for his other accounts, is unacceptable?
And I’ve never, ever heard of Feeback topics having to be constantly on-topic. This is completely new to me.

So it’s not a good answer when everyone else says it?

Cid clarified it enough. Even If I still disagree.

The mods generally warned more for spam in this section. And, as Atresac mentioned, they’ve deleted off topic posts several times.

ok the way i see it, i deserved the first warning... because everyone that posted there was off topic at first... but then after the warning, all i did was ask what would be on topic so that i could continue to post there... sure i added a little joking in my post, but hey thats me... thats when i got the second one, and asked again, then he calmly told me and i answered it, but again put a little joke in with my post too... then i simply answered what another member there told me, and i was banned... in my oppinion, i desereved the first warning and thats it... but i also admit that i spaced the rule about not getting off topic in the feedback... thats my bad and thats what i got the warning for...
