blackle.com is powered by google, and works in the same way. But while google is mostly white, blackle uses a mostly black interface. This makes your computer use up less energy. Yeah, an all black screen takes less to keep up than all white. Go figure.
Anyway, blackle is simple and easy, and if you use it instead of google, given how often people uses google, a lot of energy will be saved.
It’s neat that they would do that...is there any way to get that google bar thing at the top of my firefox to send me there instead?
Anyway, it still seems hypocriticalish to me that google would not use this interface as a norm...imagine how much engery that would save.
Instead they’ll get to write off blackle as one more thing google is doing to “save then environment” without acually doing jack shit.
But still, now that you’ve brought it to our attention I’ll be using that.

go to your tools bar and go to options, there you will know the rest.
the site’s page isnt loading onto my browser after like 3 - 4 attempts....its down for now i guess.. imagine how much energie thats caused me to squander!
