In the first movie though, Broly was weaker than in the 2nd movie. Also it should be pointed out that the kamehameha wave from Gohan and Goten (Gohan being SSJ2 and Goten being SSJ) isn’t what hurt and killed Broly, It was the Sun. The Sun’s heat going in to his only weakness..His scar. If he would not have been stabbed as an infant he would be invincible.

But before you say anything like, how did he get that stab if he was inivincible? Simple. He is only invincible in LSSJ mode. He was stabbed in normal state, and he was born SSJ at the pl of 10000.
