well actualy they are both pretty strong... and i think in a sword battle, with none of teh other items, it would be 100% fair, and im pretty sure that Lloyd would win that way... because yes link has the Goddess of courage backing him up directly, and the other 2 Goddesses indirectly, but, Lloyd has the Goddess Martel to back him up...

Lloyd found the power to defeat angelic half elves, and join a world torn in 2 back into 1 using his techniques... and he has wings given to him by the Angelis progect or whatever... he can survive in any terrain, as we see when he flies to Derris Karlon in the Alt ending of ToS, he Flew there after it left the atmosphire of the planet. his wings are bigger than that of Methos, who was the one that originaly split the world in 2... sure his friends did their fare share in the journy, but in the end, Lloyd was the one who defeated Methos and joined the world together...

so in my opinion it would be Lloyd who won...

Lloyd had to use the eternal sword to put the world back together. Mithos is a wuss. Try fighting Abyssion that was a hard fight. Lloyd used items like Gels in his fights so Link should be able to use potions and the Triforce piece Link has has healed him before. And there isn’t a Goddess Marel Martel was Mithos’s sister.

okay... in the end the goddess martel was reserected using Spirits of tons of things such as Mithos’s sister martel, the robot Tabetha, and the Kharlon Tree... and Lloyd was strong enough and spirited enough to summon the Eternal Sword... and in a real time battle, there would not be any healing... thats just game effects...
Mithos wasnt a wuss... he is the great hero from oh so long ago who ended the kharlon war against the disions, then he went and saved the world again by splitting it in 2 since the kharlon tree was dying... plus he was strong enough to form a pact with every single summon spirit... Lloyd was also strong enough to defeat and form a pact with the most powerful summon spirit, Origin, if he would have had the pact technique he probibly would have formed a pact with the other spirits himself, but he let shina do that since she was the one with the art...

Where link saves the world from a dark overlord, Lloyd saves the world from destruction...

but again, he had to use multiple items... lloyd doesnt have items, and it would only be a fair fight if it was sword on sword...

He only had to use his sword and his bow to kill Majora. Lloyd would have been killed by Mithos if his friends hadn’t come.

actualy yes he would have, because eventualy his exsphire would have kicked in giving him a ton more power than methos ever had...

Just because his exsphere gave him wings at the end doesn’t mean he has more power then Mithos by himself. And Link always ends things with his sword.

Actualy, the Exsphere is there to manafest the untapped power in the human body, where methos was a half elf, he still only realy had human ability, but he only had a normal Exsphere, Lloyd had the most powerful exsphire, which could pretty much tap every ounce of power in his human body and even magnafy it... and link may always end things with his sword, but on more than one occasion(millions) he has had to use other weapons to weaken them... where Lloyd only uses his sword, link uses alot of things, from shield to hookshot to magic... also Lloyd has a ton of way better sword techniques than link has... where link has 7 sword techniques of an ancient knight... who was extreemly powerful... Lloyd has a ton of extreemly fast and powerful sword techniques... i mean, look at some of links techniques, then look at ones that lloyd has that are similar... such as links helm bash, and Lloyds Tempest... the tempest hits alot more than the helm bash...


the main problem with this battle, is that link has a ton of games to back him up, while Lloyd is only left with ToS... both were on a Soul Calibur game, so both have a ton of power if they are strong enough to compete in that tournament... but what i think is that if you werent completely biased (zeldafreak), and if everyone else had more to go on than a game for the gamecube which didnt realy sell too many copies, then i thnk we would have a better debate here... so its my opinion that we should put this topic away and maybe open it back up after a few of us have beaten ToS2... deal?

Sure but I’m not Biased I just think Link would win. I know Lloyd is strong but he’s at his best with his friends. And your right the only fair fight would be sword to sword exsphere vs triforce.
