Trying to say that the word is anything short of a racist term makes you seem like a tremendous jackass.



Blacks refer to each other as “nigga”. Big difference there.

Saying the word nigger isn’t racist, but it is a racist term. Trying to deny that and twist it around so you can use it in everyday speech without getting in trouble is just a douchey thing to do.

No. It’s a pretty simple concept. A word can be racist, but the usage of it doesn’t necessarily make the user racist. It all depends on the context.

Nigger is a racist term. It started off as one. It was invented for the sole intention of demeaning the black race. Now, when using it the person doesn’t need to have the racist intent behind it. Just like people don’t need to have the homophobic intent when calling something dumb “gay”, or someone dumb a “faggot”.

You see what I mean?

I just think it’s ironic that we can all spout the word 'gay' 24/7, but as soon as someone mentions the word 'nigger', everyone has a fucking freakout.

While it’s hypocritical, my main beef with it is that gay has been used for so long without incident and no one caring. To an extent it has literally lost any intended homophobic context.

Nigger however, hasn’t lost its racist context, so pretty much anyone who tries to use it as a substitute for gay or something is pretty much just looking for attention and being dumb, considering they would have to make a conscious effort to say it like that.

It’s similar to when you say “god bless you” when someone sneezes and they say they don’t believe in god.
