If you really think about it, internet dating is more 'real' than normal dating.
In an internet relationship you primarily rely on each other’s personalities, it’s more difficult to be swayed by physical appearences. They’re also more difficult to maintain, as you have no physical contact to keep the two close.
In my opinion, going 6 months online is a hell of a lot harder than going 6 months in rl.

Oh, and forget all that crap about one being easier then the other, it depends on what kind of relationship you have and what kind of people you are. Long-distance relationships are easy for some and hard for others. ---
