2008, greatest year in gaming?

Okay no need to for intros, 2007 was by far the greatest year for games EVER. With so many sequels and ends to some of the most epic games we have ever seen there was no need to desribe how excellent the year was.

Nintendo Had:

Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Super Paper Mario
Medal of Honor Heroes 2
Resident Evil 4 Wii edition
Battalion Wars 2- single player was very nice multi could have been better
Guiter Hero 3
Pokemon Battle Revolution
Pokemon Diamond/Pearl
Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Brain Age 2

Microsoft had:

Halo 3
Mass Effect
Call of Duty 4
Assassin’s Creed
Crackdown
Command and Conquer 3 Tiberuim Wars
Orange Box- counts as 5
Guiter Hero 3
Rock Band
Bioshock

Sony Had:

God of War 2
R&C Future
Orange Box- again 5
GH3
Rock Band
Assassin’s Creed
Call of Duty 4
Warhawk


above all nintendo and Microsoft did outstanding and it was very nice to see how many franchises would handle the jump to the new systems. Sony had a harder time but it is finally picking up. So with major titles this year like SSBB and MGS4 do you guys think that this year will be better than last?

Every year is better than the last, since we obtain new IPs and new ways to play.

At the same time though, as we go on, more and more games are released so it’s harder and harder to do things that are new, or even fresh.

Eventually, gaming will become a land of “Blah, blah, seen it already." I fear that day.
