honestly i enjoyed GoW much more than Halo. Halo doesn’t take much skill...just hop around and shoot ppl. The only reason i liked it was becuase of forge and infection.

GoW was actually fun to play online...squad based teams was a great idea for multiplayer.

I can’t believe people actually believed Gears 1 pushed the 360 completely, and Gears 2 would have no where to grow and expand on a technical scale.

I don’t want to say I told you say (PS3 Fan and others) but I told you so.

This is what happens when an Engine is optimized. There is a HUGE jump.

GoW 1 only took 33% of 360’s power, it’s mostly just illusions, (bad textures looks better in 3rd person far away)

This new one is 60 frames per second....

CPO (you know it’s me Nervin, right?) even if the first took up 33% of the 360’s original processing power. This one looks more then 3 times as advanced.

What I’m saying is, you can tell Epic put A LOT of work in upgrading the engine.

Also, about the destructibility. the Unreal Engine was never designed for that, so they had to rework the entire engine to compensate. And yet it can still render real-time fluids and a hundred enemies on screen at once with any frame rate drops.

Amazing. And the game looks more beautiful then the first.

Also marcus looks way better, you can tell the textures are higher res (water scene) and the BM’s are more detailed.

plus self shadowing is awesome.

Yeah, kinda.

And the ball of fluid looked really amazing. some people said only the PS3 could do stuff like that, but lo' and behold. The 360 is doing it before the Ps3 ever does.

I’m wondering what they will do with that stuff. Imagine a monster made of that stuff, I don’t know why there would be mercury-looking fluid monster, but it would be cool. It could squeeze through cracks and flow around corners, and if it gets you, it smothers your character.
