Is this a tech demo just showing off the engine with GOW Stuff in it or is this actually what gears 2 is like?

Some of the Textures don’t look to improved yet but no doubt alot of it is still GoW 1 with mild improvements, no doubt will it improve over the next 9 months

That’s just a tech demo. That doesn’t mean we are going to see all of that in the game. it’s just to show the potential.

Also, a lot of that is actually rehashed Gears 1. You’ll notice some of Gears 1 levels in the tech demo. That means we haven’t actually seen what Gears 2 will looks light, we’ve only seen the new lighting (which is amazing) and a few updates here and there.

Still thought, this isn’t even a full Engine update, hence the 3.5 number. This is a huge jump from 3.0. So imagine 4.0.

Also, Cliffy B on stage mentioned how Gears 1 was actually a quick thing they whipped together to see if people would dig the gameplay and concept.
