Would you then state that Atheism and Science are indistinguishable from one another?

Atheism is the result of a rational thought. No but they never conflict.
Would you then state that a scientist that is not an Atheist is not a scientist?

Scientist can believe heck my priest believes in evolution.

This, while true, is not the question.

Can an agnostic be a scientist? Can a devout Hindu be a scientist? Can a devoted Catholic be a scientist?

Can a person who is not an atheist be a scientist?

So a person who believes in a deity (deities) can still be a scientist?

Sure, why not? and it’s not like everybody full heartedly believes their religion or they wouldn’t need to feel they have to defend it and prove that their religion is right.smiley

Is it irrational to believe in something you cannot prove?

Sometimes you need some thing irrational to keep you going because we all know no matter how much we try were not that important.

Irrational: not consistent with or using reason.

Is a scientist irrational?

Here we go: Is it rational to believe in something that cannot be naturally observed, tested, or replicated?

Anyone have an opinion?

kinda yeah
Dark Matter and Dark energy cannot be seen felt nor teh sort cuz they don’t let go of enough electromagnetic radiation to be “seen” or “touched”
but hey, dun scientists believe dark energy is teh one responsible for teh expansion of teh universe? adn that dark matter is teh one responsible for teh “hollow” spaces between all ordinary matter?, that is teh one that occupies most of universal space?
