Cid is banned Guest | This engine is going to kick so much ass on the PS3. It’ll be interesting to see what it can do on the Wii.
Wiki wrote:
One of the main aspects of the engine is that it allows photorealistic CGI to be rendered in real-time. Nomura has commented that the engine will be able “to recreate battle scenes reminiscent of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children." [3] It also handles advanced audio processing, cinematic cut-scene transition, physics effects calculations and special effects rendering.[citation needed] The engine reportedly uses 4 of the 6 synergistic processing elements (SPEs) that are available to games running on the Cell processor, to achieve near-pre-rendered CGI quality in realtime.[4]

Yeah, I wish they’d start on that.
But then again, they’re already busy with 3 other KH’s, FF Dissidia, XIII, Versus XIII, that other XIII, and Crisis Core... ---

Here I’ve calculated the likelihood of each of these titles coming to the Wii.
Kingdom Hearts 3 - Fairly likely
Dissidia Final Fantasy - Not going to happen
Final Fantasy XIII - Not going to happen
Final Fantasy Versus XIII - Not going to happen
Final Fantasy Agito XIII - Highly unlikely, but possible
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII - Not going to happen
And for added in bonus
Dragon Quest IX - Likely
It’s a Wonderful World - Likely | |

Nomura’s statements say otherwise. Considering the next biggest part in the series is on PSP, and he’s working on the no-where-near-finished Versus XIII, then I doubt it will be this generation, if at all. We may not see a KH3, but rather a bunch of side games.
But nevertheless, you guys are idiots if you don’t see what Square is doing with Crystal Tools.
This isn’t to show off super engines and bring “uber” graphics to Wii. Its to simplify company development and allow easy multiplatform development. Square never had just one engine running their games, now they do.
Square outlined that their old plan of keeping games to one console is obsolete and its time to spread them out. So, we’re likely to see games moved to other systems. This doesn’t mean that Final Fantasy XIII will be moved necessarily, it could be, but this is probably more for games such as the Mana series, Star Ocean, etc.
And, yes, they brought some of the Crystal Tools to Wii, just what it could handle. They make games for it too. Don’t get your panties in a bunch though, its probably nothing, NOTHING, near what the engine can do on PS3 or 360. ---

Remember Square Enix isn’t the only party involved with the Kingdom Hearts franchise. You have to remember Disney is a huge player in the publishing and developing of that series, if not a bigger part then Square themselves. They aren’t going to miss an opportunity to bring that out. ---
