Everyone is a noob at some point, everyone knows that. But for Satan’s sake why do you guys consist on being retarded?
Make a REAL account with a REAL name, not something like 'I iz betta' or 'Mega man sucks'. Look at all of us, NeonMan5, NihilusRavanger, Firewolf, Cid, Green Ninja, Prince Zuko, Skull Kid etc. They are proper user names. If you can’t think of one then just put your first name or something like that. Numbers are acceptable but don’t over do it.
Ok, if you’re only going to post once then be our guest (no pun intended) but if you want to make at least more than ten then create an account because the likleyhood is that you will post more often.
And when you do, at least you could liven them up a bit with an avatar, a signature perhaps, and one that is APPROPRIATE. So no pornography, biased information and no stupid stuff in general. If you can’t think of anything then please don’t hesitate to ask me, or anybody else. You can do so by either PM or general post.
And if you’re really nice some sig artists may even make one for you via Photoshop.
These are precautions which should be taken by moderators. I have noticed that, and I do hope i’m wrong, you guys are can be a bit slacky on these forums. Many people want to see more action being taken but the best I see are a few bannings or thread locks. Maybe you’re just to buissy at the office, but whatever.

I don’t want to brag, nor do I want to be bitchy about it. It just really gets on my nerves. Perhaps this should be regarded as an important topic, but in the end it’s the moderator’s decision. Don’t allow this topic to go to waste and post your thoughts and feelings here. This is an adult discussion so I expect it to be treated as such.

I know some people will think that it’s only a forum for crying out loud. But it is a socialable place where people can discuss their interests without the risk of being threatened. It is people like the ones I stated that make places like this seem sadder than it is. It is NOT. It is just those people. They really need to grow up or leave, but just talking about it won’t get us anywhere.

I know how you feel Neoman. We get too many guest here sometimes. Some that do not even make accounts here. And when they do, most of them just make complete fools of themselves when they are here. I mean just a couple of days ago, there was this one guest who would not quit posting vs topics. We had like more than 10 topics under 30 minutes.But not all guests are bad, there are only some who think that they know everything. And another thing, we get new people here every other day, and most that come here that are brand new never post at all, they just sit in the back room watching other people discuss. If you are not going to post then why did you make an account? Know what I mean?

I post as 'Cid is banned' because my Cid and Cid Highwind accounts are banned.. If I use another one of my accounts it would defeat the purpose of why I asked for a ban to begin with.

Tree, ahh, a good and simple name, Tree. I like to see that. I know it’s a thing of little importance but it still gets on peoples nerves nonetheless.
Green Ninja, the rules are not strict and they are good the way they are. We just need a few more guidelines and limitations to our guests.
Jaja, if you did have over 1000 posts, you would have the title of 'UBER 1337 Poster' by now. You wasted an account.
Cid, sorry about that I didn’t realise it was you. I just thought it was a Cid impersonator or something along those lines. I’ll change that.
But it may be better if you put something like 'Cid/Guest' or 'Temporary Cid'.
All i’m saying is that our leash on guests is a wee bit too long. I’m sorry to say that to all you sensible ones out there but if you are unhappy with it then make an account. Most of the time you will feel better with an account.

As for the guests.. Many of them might not realize they can register. Instead of complaining about them, invite them to join and explain the perks of being a member. (Able to post pictures and urls, as well as a 20 second wait time in between posts)
Some guests also don’t register simply because they don’t plan on staying long enough to require an account.
There’s also those who think it’s a hassle.

No, I understand all that. It’s not a hassle at all. I should make a topic about invites to the forums, or maybe a mod can do it for the main page. I’d ask you but yeah.
And what I think is good though is, even though they have crappy names, so long as you are acctually using the site to its proper extent then yeah, who does care?
The main issue here is using the site in the WRONG way, not really about the crappy names.

Well, most of the time.. Trolling and spam can be dealt with, given that it’s reported to a moderator through the report feature.

No, moderators can IP can a guest. It’ll have the same effects as banning a member, unless of course the guest knows how to change their IP address.

Actually, in this time it’s pretty ineffective. Almost everybody knows how to get around an IP ban. So, it’s not of much use anymore.
It’s like a locked display case in a store.
