Dude, I know your intentions are good. You seem like a nice guy. But I’m not going to sugar-coat this so that I don’t hurt your feelings.
First of all, you joined late 2007. You can’t even begin to know what Movie Codec is about. This entire thing is stupid. This thread is in the feedback section, which is probably the least visited section of the entire site. The best thing for you to do would be to simply tell a guest you like to join the site.
All this nonsense about going off topic, that’s what makes this site so great. We don’t really enforce minor spam rules. If I wanted to, I could go into a versus topic and discuss how awesome a girl’s vagina is and nobody would really do anything about it. That’s what makes The Lounge so appealing. The relaxed rules. Trying penalize guest for going what was intended is stupid.
Look guys, I know what you are saying. I’m only trying to help. And if the feedback section isn’t used much then that’s good, this will last longer.
Cid, I understand what you are saying, but you didn’t exactly join much earlier than me either. It may aswell be two years but that’s beside the point. The concept of forums is one I am 100% familiar with but I don’t expect you to know that because you only know me on this one. I have been on many other forums, from Adventure Quest to Runescape to Ctrl-Alt-Del. They may not be specialized as forums but they are nonetheless.
Oh as for personally helping people out, I have. A guy named Howie has joined and I just informed him of this and what he can do.
I only do this to help, not to gain more posts. I am a helper and I help people all the time both here and in reality.

But as I said I am very familiar with the concept of forums. It’s nothing new to me and if you’re going to ask a general question then I could easily answer it. But there is no point since I could just look them up for all you know, but i’m not like that.
oh, and BTW, wouldnt you think it would be nice if bjarne would let the mods make one of these in each section like the rules, just so that its that much easier to find...
Yeah, rytis is also annoying, but maybe not as much as RK. I don’t know much of rytis anyways.
