I said even if Roshi hit the core he could destroy the planet(By reaching the core and create a change reaction), Goku normal form could too, but a SSj1 Goku could do it with a diferent attack( he dont need to hit the core, his attack has enough power),to do that, Goku will have to compress the ki in a ball attack like the kid buu did, in that respect i believe no Z Warrior could do that until they reach the power of the Freeza Saga (first form Freeza power) and then the complete Cell and Buu Saga, mostly piccolo and the Saiyans, i dont think the humans can concentrade enough ki to do it( I mean an attack that destroy the planet without hitting the core and create a chain reaction, but all the Z warriors humans could damage the core and destroy it), I think only Piccolo and the Saiyans can and have the ki to create such attack(a ki ball that release a explosion), The humans perhaps could too, only if they have reach Frieza power (his weakest form) or surpass that power they could, That is my opinion. Ki has more power than heat, when is release, but is not a heat attack like Superman heat vission for example, it works diferent, ki is more mistical and destructive than mere heat. the spirit Bomb for example is a all powerful mistical power, is not radiation or heat.

In my opinion, yes, for me the Freeza saga introduce planet buster, before all of them can just by hitting the core of planets.
But my opinion is not a fact, if you have prove that Goku in the Beggining of DBZ can destroy the planet without hitting the core, and your prove is good, i can change my mind, or debate your opinion.

Also the moon dont have Gravity or tectonicx plates, the Earth is more solid matters underground until reach magna, and the core has the same presion of the bottom of the ocean.
Powerlevels in DB are imposible to apply, to inconsistants, and is Vegeta the first to mention being capable to destroy the planet, Goku has 8000 powerlevel x 4 times kaioken+kamehame ha to reject that attack, that means 32,000 + power of the attack power(Galic gun or kamehameha) . That is too high for Roshi with 139 powerlevel to compare.

There is nothing special about the sun it does not give off extra energy for superman to absourb nor is it magical its just a orianary star. So for superman to be able to take a planet or galixy destroying blast is stupid and being faster then the speed of light he would be traveling faster then his source of power from the sun so at thous speeds he could no longer absourb energy from the sun and he could not maintain that speed nor is he strong enuff. His biggest feat of strengh was when he pushed a small planet at the speed of ligh an objects mass and density are said to be infinate so he would be bigger and hevier than planets at that speed and that is clearly not possible for superman to do. So going faster then light clearly fails for superman and being able to take devistating blows.
