WRONG. They have guides to the anime and movies however. The entire series of books is canon.

papamidnite420 Guest | its not a class that exist he used it as a reference as in saying he’s already powered to ssj3 without changing plus he’s already a ssj2 naturally so him changing would unleash power to the level of a ssj6 but he and whoeva near him would die cuz he couldn’t handle the power of the change.......not that he would turn into a ssj6 and blow up everything noooo not that u got it wrong so hopefully this explains it betta | |

It’s considered canon by the fans, but not really canon since it wasn’t written by Akira Toriyama. I just found this out. Some things in it are wrong, such as the power levels for instance.
Here’s what I found.
The final component which most fans consider to be canonical information is the several daizenshuu which were released only in Japan. These “Perfect File” books are reference guides to the series and often contain character and attack names and other clarifiations which are not present in the manga or anime themselves. There are no current plans to release these books in the US and they are out of print even in Japan.
Many fans however question how canon the actual books are. The books were not actually written by Akira Toriyama. The Power Levels given in the books are often disregarded by some fans who find inconsistencies in them. One notable example is that Nappa’s power level is stated to be 4,000 in the books, though this is never given in the manga along with assortment of other readings given. Both the manga and Daizenshuu state Goku’s power level during the fight to be 8,000 which means he was twice Nappa’s power level suggesting he should have had an easy time defeating him without using Kaiô-ken. This is not true as Nappa manages to trade blows with Goku and after deflecting Nappa’s strongest attack, comments that the fight will take forever without the use of Kaiou-ken, contradicting the stated information in the daizenshuu.

omniblast Guest | That is funny, because all proofs would say that SSJ4 Goku is much stronger than Mystic Gohan. Gohan has infinite potential, but what did that potential get him, but getting his butt kicked by gotenks buu. SSJ1 GT Goku was as strong as Majin Buu as stated in the GT series. SSJ4 Goku was around 30 times stronger than SSJ1 Goku. Now there is no way that Mystic Gohan was 30 times stronger than Majin Buu, not even close, maybe 5-6 times max. Goku was even with Ozaru Bebi, who is 10 times stronger than form 3 bebi, then add in Bebi’s other 2 transformations, plus SSJ1 Goku was no match for form one Bebi Vegita. So this proves that SSJ4 is around 30 times stronger if not more than SSJ1 Gt Goku. And Rildo was stated to be as strong as Majin Buu, Goku even stated that Rildo was stronger than he orginally thought, so Rildo is most likely stronger than Majin Buu. Goku fought evenly with Rildo in his SSJ1 form. If gohan had so much power he should have been able to destroy gotenks buu, SSJ4 goku would have made short work of Gotenks Buu. | |
