Your forgeting Hao can mind read so what is darkness going to do? Nothing. Yoh learned to fight in darkness in like volume 5 or 6 was it? Hao will still turn every Naruto character into Spirit food.

Actually, he was never beaten in the manga, and he knew it was going to happen. May I note that it took every Shaman’s power and feelings all that to beat Hao. Yoh could own Naruto cast too by the way.

Indeed it can change, but knowing the future gives him an advantage and considering he is leuges better than Naruto cast I don’t see him having to much of a problem.
