jpb Guest | A lot of ppl who watched tennis for a long time will tell you graphite rackets ruined tennis. In the old days you had long exchanges, amazing rallies, and marathon matches where nearly all the points were fought to the bitter end, to the cheer of crowds. Now it’s just serve/ace or serve/return. It’s really fast. The graphite rackets ruined it in the early 90s because if they used wooden rackets like they did before then, the rackets would break if you hit the balls as hard as you do today.
