I would like to find more of a balance between the two; combine some forums into other forums but spread it out (a little) more than what it was before.

i think it would be nice to have both this and that... maybe split the site in 2 like it is, but have some off topic forums on the other site... idk, i liked the old ways, but i also like this forum...

Yes. Those are the general forums that people post in so I say yes. But, the religion and vs topics have been gaining popularity for awhile now.

I’m considering asking Bjarne to revert. So far, I gather the religion and vs. topics should remain, and I believe the “on-topic” section should also remain. However, religion could be grouped into on-topic.

I’m personally weary about on-topic remaining, simply because the idea seems to be occurring that the off-topic has turned into a “spam and flame” type of forum with no real purpose. Originally, the name was meant to denote topics that belonged nowhere else, and that’s personally what I believe it should remain as.

Since the creation of 'On Topic' members have been spamming in off topic and claiming that it is here for that. Get rid of on topic so that they don’t think they can continue spamming here.
