I never said anything like that. I am just saying that another way of taking them our is to go for the legs. I know they are not uber. There are far more powerful things than an AT-AT.
Well, there is one tank. Though it is not as big, it still packs power.
The Self-Propelled Medium Artillery (SPMA) walker was an artillery piece used by the Galactic Empire. It was a successor to the SPHA artillery line used during the Clone Wars.
The SPMA-T model was fitted with a long-range, variable trajectory turbolaser cannon, and due to its modular design, it could, like its heavier predecessor, be deployed with specific payloads for different missions. It was generally faster and nimbler than the slower SPHA-T.
Most of the walkers were also equipped with several light anti-infantry blasters that came out of the belly of the vehicle when in use, which gave it the advantage of being able to defend itself in combat.
IFT-X in Battlefront, rip off from Republic. but an At-At would fall to a baneblade ultra heavy. The Shadowsword variant has an anti-titan cannon which could blow a huge hole through an at-at
Incidentally, everyone thinks that the battle cannon is a Baneblade’s only weapon. FALSE! The Baneblade has a second, hull mounted demolisher cannon (equivalent to main gun) and 9 other weapons, including 6 heavy bolters and 2 lascannons, each of which is capable of toasting a medium tank.
A baneblade and an AT AT are NOT similar, an ATAT is more of an intimidation or assault vehicle as it lacks a turret and may only fire at whats roughly in front of it, its height does give it a good view if it wants to shoot specific targets but its definetly not designed to combat other vehicles, its simply impracticle.
The baneblade on the other hand is normally outfitted as a general purpose super heavy tank capable of destroying all types of targets from infantry with its heavy bolters to armor with its lascannons and main cannons.
Consequently a fight between these two assuming their weapons can destroy each other would rely more on deployment and the type of battlefield.
An ATAT is powerless if the baneblade hits it from the side or rear while on the other hand the ATAT might be more useful overall in taking out strong points.
If i were given a choice however my vote goes to the baneblade as the more practicle vehicle of war
As a 40k fan, I hate(!!!) the Emperor and the Imperium, they stand for the worst possible monstrosity our species could become. For this topic though, they far overpower the galactic empire. The suck a lot of donkey balls too, and are just the evolution of mindless jocks and testosterone fueled meatheads, but they are still much more powerful.
actually the god emperor never wanted to be regarded as a god, in fact he banned all cults that worshipped him in favor of science and technology in an attempt to weaken the chaos gods
the imperium is only an extremely brutal place because 10,000 years of brutal fighting has shaped it that way. Its hard not to be psychotic murderous and fanatical when daemons are trying to kill you everyday for the past millenia
While the ground forces of the Imperium of Man are far superior, the Galactic Empire has one huge advantage: Hyperspace.
Not only is it much faster than the method that Imperium ships use, (traveling through the warp) but you do not have to worry about demons attacking the ship or possessing the crew, and you do not need the emperor to guide the ship personally.

Well in a real story they’d probably include several of the typical enemies of the two sides.
Here’s my thought. Palpatine dies but his force ghost infests the god emperor creating one single entity with power over both the warp and the force. The two then merge the empire and the imperium and become an unstoppable force. The empire is turned from a mere dictatorship into a completely dystopian society. Vader’s encounter with Luke works out differently, he realizes the error of his ways and joins the rebel alliance. They all ship off to seek aid from the Tau and Eldar two of the only semi reasonable societies in 40k. They give Tau hyperdrives to help make up for their transportation limits and the Tau give them some Rail guns and battle suits. There’s a big battle royal and in the end the god emperor-palpatine combo are separated by the efforts of the most powerful force users and psychers in the two galaxies.
Beautiful. If you do not mind, I would like to add an epolouge
After the separation of the God Emperor and Palpatine, the two try to pick up the remains of their respective empires to fight on. However, the now unified alliance of the Rebellion and the Tau manages to capture the two as well as their subordinates, such as the lord inquisitor and lord commander militent. Their powers are drained from them and they are at long last held accountable for the various atrocities both had committed in the past (I.E. Alderaan for palpatine, inqusistion in general for the G-E.) and face the harshest of punishments. Now, with the greatest evils defeated, the Rebellion settles down, merges with the Tau, and manages to introduce some democratic features into the existing Tau monarchy. Many of the Jedi adopt the ideology of the greater good, and a glimmer of hope at last dawns upon the war torn galaxies.
so where did they get the hyperspace chart without crashing into random space objects.
And why is the interference of chaos still making the warp drive unsafe still factored in.
And why are we assuming that travelling into the warp infested with crazy demons trying to kill you every moment has similar speed to a totally calm warp where chaos isnt involved.
The problem with warpspace is that it is never consistent and sometimes ships have appeared at their destination before they even left.
umm you do know the taus greater good really only means the greater good for the tau themselves right?
they have murdered innocents at Nimbosa and purge civillian population in secret. Furthermore canonically, if the tau wins conquers cronus, the human population mysteriously reduces in number rather quickly and cronus becomes a tau colony

While I am not sure about your first statement, it is likely that what the narrator says for the Tau if they win on Kronus is human propoganda. This is because in the other examples of humans in the Tau Empire, they are simply integrated into the society like the kroot and vespid were.
