All music takes talent. Some in certain ways. Death metal is more focussed on the instrumental aspects and structure while rap is focussed on the lyrics and beat. All forms take talent. Too bad the dumbass who posted this cannot understand that.

Exactly. People bash on certain genres of music when they know nothing about it, except some forms of it. Like Rap, some people bash rap saying that it tells others to kill people. Rap is not like that. Rap is beats, rhymes, and telling a story in the form of music. The person who made this thread does not know music, especially not metal and rap.
Winner. LOL Most Pop music seriously does take no talent. There is barely any structure, there are exceptions like you said, but most of it is crap that is making an attempt to get kids all over it. It works too. Did not work on me though.
