From Wikipedia:

Apes are scientifically known as the superfamily Hominoidea, whose families include Hominidae, which humans belong to. So, humans are, in fact, apes.

From what I gather, even though he’s said it in a demeaning way, Itachi is pretty much trying to say that our next major evolution will be autism, but he’s thinking about it with a closed mind. Each generation yeilds evolution, and autism could very well just be another part of our minor evolution.

Then again, people with autism think, or can, on a completely different level than those without. Its a possibility, theoretically, that a new species or subspecies of human could come from the autism gene in future generations. If it ever did happen, it may not have that big of an effect on us, or it may.

I dont think autism will took over this world but they evolve from us... they are us afterall... their dna and brain structures changes and diff from us...

and yes apes = human (for them).

For a thick fucking atheist you sure are ignorant of your own species. You’re an Ape.

No I am not an ape, and think you aren’t. Humans and apes are not the same. Now as Rageoverdose has provided we do belong to the same superfamily. Meaning that classification wise we are very close, yet that does not mean we are apart of the same “evolutionary family”. Actually if you knew anything about evolution you’d know that humans did not evolve from apeas. You’d know that all mammals have a similar ancestor. And that they branched off from one another. Humans and apes branched off from a similar ancestor, but an ape did not evolve into a human.

Understanding evolution is important into arguing it. Humans evoled from a similar ancestor that some apes of the same Family, Hominidae, but a gorilla did not evolve into a human or any living ape right now. These are the facts provided by evolution. Meaning no ape in a zoo will evolve into a human for of course the reasons of natural selection and because that wouldn’t replicate the previous cycle because they didn’t evolve into humans. The earliest ancestors to humans are extinct and probably the ancestor that we share in common to apes are extinct as well.

Learn what your talking about and it makes it a little easier to reason.

...

I said we are apes, not that apes and humans are part of some superfamily. The superfamily Hominoidea translates into vernacular as ape.

We go even further into the Hominidae, which are the great apes.

Its like this:

Animalia(Animals) > Chordata(Vertebrates) > Mammalia(Mammals) > Primates > Hominoidea(Apes) > Hominidae(Great Apes) > Homo(Humans and ancestors) > Sapien(Modern Human)

We are apes. Its scientific fact. In the tree of nomenclature, we are classified as apes in two levels. Now, if you want to get vernacular about it, and refer to an ape in an ignorant manner, then go ahead. However, we are apes, ALL OF US. So, you are right we didn’t evolve from apes (sorta) because we already were.

Both Itachi and you don’t seem to understand this.

Random information.

It turns out most likely that a decent amount of cases of autism is INDEED caused by vaccinations. About one in every fifty children is at risk. What happens is the infant can have something called mitochondrial dysfunction. When a vaccination is received by someone with this, it can cause Autism.

This was recently released information due to a lawsuit concerning an Autistic child. The family sued saying that a vaccine made the child Autistic. They won.

Alright I made a mistake. I was thinking of the more literal term of ape, such as monkey or gorilla. But instead ape is just the name given for a certain family when translated.

Sorry misunderstanding.

I’m just trying to clarify. Frankly, I agree that there is the possibility humans could evolve into a sort of “autism” sub-species of human, but not very likely, as the only difference would probably be mental, not physical and not enough on the mental side to warrant that kind of change in classification.

But people don’t need to get so bent out of shape if he’s referring to autistic people as apes, because they are, just like those without.

I get the feeling, though, his reference was a bit ill-intent...

No, fool. One in fifty is at risk of having mitochondrial dysfunction.

And besides, the genetic cause of Autism is due to a mutation.

And it has absolutely nothing to do with evolution.

Evolution is caused by mutations, either by nature or otherwise. By Darwin’s Theory, its caused by weeding out the genes that can’t survive in an environment, leaving the survival genes.

Getting Autism isn’t a change over time, so it’s not evolution. It’s an abnormality that, when genetic, is caused by a single mutation, and it is rarely passed on since Autistic individuals (not including Asperger’s) very rarely have children.

And when I said mutation, it was in response to his implication that it’s a typical normal gene.

But hey, as of now there’s reason to believe a lot of cases of Autism aren’t genetic at all, and that it happened postnatal.

My point is that Autism isn’t an evolved trait.

Hmm, I might have been a little late with this but I was just going to clarify that humans are not classified as apes, at least in the way Itachi thinks we are, although we are in the family Hominidae which includes the great apes and our shared ancestors. A subfamily of Hominidae is Homininae, which includes Homo sapiens and some extinct relatives, as well as the gorillas and the chimpanzees. It comprises all those hominids, such as Australopithecus, that arose after the split from the other great apes.

Mutations cause of evolution... perhaps not major one but still evolution right...
