Then you can’t assume Apollo can take out universes, and merging universes have no bearing on destroying it, how do you even know it was a universal merger?

Just a question: Why does Saint Seiya butcher Greek mythos? Apollo sucks crap as a fighter, and Athena would whip his shiny butt. In the Odyssey, he couldn’t get revenge on Odysseus' crew himself, so he had to get Zeus to do it by threatening to leave Earth and shine in the Underworld.
