He only did that because he knew that Gohan was stronger than him at the time of the Cell Games. Hence the ssj2 Gohan.

Your forgetting Mecha Freiza was beyond Final Form Freiza also, but anyway if Cooler was stronger than Freiza he could have atleast put up a fight against Goku is all im saying but no Goku handed him his ass (dident you see how fast Goku blew him away from the earth into the sun)???, the fact Freiza could Fight SSJ Goku and Cooler could not speak’s volume’s.
Cooler did fight him, but Goku wanted to end it quickly. When Goku gets angry enough, someone gets hurt. ex Frieza and Cooler. | |

fighting freeza was the training. i mean, who needs to train if youre fighting freeza? goku in the series (the one who has IT) was stronger than coolers goku. but that doesnt mean cooler is weaker than freeza. its like this, namek goku<cooler goku<IT goku.
goku blasted him away easily because, its a movie, they only have an hour and a half to finish the fight. but freeza had what, several episodes. now if cooler was in the series, then they could have made the fight longer.
the point you seem to forget is, the goku cooler foought was stronger than the goku freeza fought. that makes sense, since goku will grow stronger after that fight. then again, the goku with IT is much stronger.let me ask you something, did the cooler movie happened before or after freeza came to earth?

Mecha Frieza was nothing to an SSJ. Just like Mecha Frieza was nothing to King cold, who was nothing to SSJ Trunks.
