1. Tabuu uses Off Waves to turn Sephy into trophy. Just realized that he never used the waves on Master Hand. And since it says it turns 'fighters' into trophies, and not 'fighters who were formerly trophies,' it should affect Seph.
And I don’t like pink.

They made Tabuu already too overpowered to even approach him. Sakurai makes an excuse like, 'Sonic appears out of nowhere and breaks Tabuu’s wings!' It is not necessarily a gameplay thing.
After Sonic breaks one of his wings, the Off Waves he emits become weaker, but they still have enough power to instantly KO a fighter. You must avoid them at all cost when fighting him. ---

Once again.
Intangibility and ability to recreate his body from nothing.
Also, Seph can attack from a distance. He sliced the Junon Cannon into tiny pieces from hundreds of feet in the air. He can do the same to Tabuu. ---

Subspace IS Tabuu. He is the EMBODIMENT of Subspace. Tabuu cannot even leave Subspace, because he IS Subspace.
And Sephiroth can’t enter Subspace because it doesn’t exist in FF7.
Technicalities.
We all know that if this fight was on fair ground that Seph would have no trouble taking Tabuu out, because he’d have access to his full scope of abilities. With that knowledge, the rest of the argument is null. Because all VS matches take place on even ground where neither combatant has an unfair advantage.
Which is why we’re just humoring you now. ---

Tabuu cannot leave Subspace because he IS Subspace.
So he gets the advantage (albeit forced) of being able to fight in subspace, or himself. That’s a field advantage.
So...for equality’s purpose, should Sephiroth not get the Negative Lifestream?
(also, if he’s the embodiment of Subspace, wouldn’t it make sense for him to be able to compress it around himself so they could fight on definitively equal grounds?) ---

Well, yeah, of course Sephy will beat Tabuu in fair grounds because there wouldn’t be Tabuu in the first place.

No. If he could, he would’ve just waltzed into Master Hand’s dimension and ass-raped everyone without planning anything.
Instead, he decided to make these ghey black bombs to bring the dimension to himself.

Sephiroth with access to all his powers would be able to take down Tabuu, even in subspace.
Btw, Seph actually can bring the negative lifestream with him. His body is a link to the lifestream, he will always return to it, no matter where he is. So he can channel it through himself.
