Well it says an ALTernative, so ALT must mean something.
ASCII must mean Alternative soruce code II, and in the login box it says anagram.
Perhaps ALT stands for something, like a user name and password.

Have you got any idea? I searched ASCII and it decodes different keys on the keyboard, but no ALT. Also it stands for American Standard Code for Information Interchange.
However:
A = 65
L = 76
T = 84
But maybe ALT stands for something similar to internet talk, like BTW or LOL.
