And this is based off what? Trunks is stronger than a guy who was an inch away from death, missing half his body, and still survived a planet explosion. I doubt Trunks would even feel it

It is based off of the series. If you remember from the Dark Tournament when he destroyed his opponents with the Dragon of The Darkness Flame. Trunks was defeated by Cell because he was too slow. If he tried to go into his ascended ssj form it would not help him much. And he would feel it. He is not unstoppable.

Speed does not always win the battle. Strategy and will is also other factors to winning a battle.

DBZ is not that fast conpared with other animes.
While they’re not the fastest, they are still a lot fast and more powerful than most anime characters. Seriously it took Sensui and Yusuke a minute to level a mountain. Goku destroyed three by dropkicking Freeza through them, and Freeza wasn’t even harmed.

I know what he can do. I know that Roshi destroyed the moon. Who is to say that Yusuke cannot do the same with his Spirit Gun? Even thought is has not been shown, it does not mean that it is not possible. Trunks may be a Super Saiyan, but he is not the strongest. He does not travel close to the speed of light like Goku can.

Goku does not travel light speed either without teleporting.
is it true sensui can destroy the planet with 10% of his power? if so, then hiei can do the same with lets say 60% of his power.
then again, is it true vegeta can destroy earth with his galick gun back in the saiyan saga? if so, then trunks could do the same with, i dont know, 3% of his power.LOL
but hiei does seem more impressive in terms of sword combat.

The funny thing about that is that Goku had a stronger beam but it couldn’t kill vegeta.

He is better is terms of sword combat and he does have great power. If his sword broke, he would still be able to use it.

funny thing, because there are explanetions.
1. vegeta was possibly stronger than a planet
2. the blast didnt explode. it was just sort of pushing vegeta into outer space.
hiei’s dragon atack seems far more mobile than any trunks has, it would be near impossible for him to dodge it and it would definently do a lot of damage
