However, when Barry Allen pushed himself further (while imploding the Anti-Monitor’s chief weapon during the Crisis on Infinite Earths) he appeared to waste away as he was converted into pure kinetic energy, traveled back in time, and was revealed to be the very bolt of lightning that gave him his powers. He could run on thick snow clouds. Most unusual was Allen’s complete control of his molecules, allowing him to vibrate through solid matter and, on one occasion when transformed into a mirror, “melt” himself and reform as a human to defeat his foe, the Mirror Master.
Wally West has said more than once that Barry Allen was the Flash most experienced with time travel. However, Wally has been shown to have a connection to the Speed Force, an extradimensional energy source, which provides his powers and gives him several other abilities. While all speedsters are powered by the force, West mainlines the power from the force itself and cannot be cut off from the source, unlike the others. He can use the Speed Force to create a costume for himself, and can either impart his high velocities to other people and objects already in motion or steal the velocity they possess. Jay Garrick also possesses this ability to some degree; he stole speed from Black Adam in order to defeat the villainous Johnny Sorrow, and he has threatened to steal Bart Allen’s (formerly Impulse and Kid Flash, and for a short while the Flash) speed on at least one occasion when he was misbehaving. West can vibrate through objects; in the past, West would cause whatever he vibrated through to explode, but has recently shown an ability to avoid this side effect. Although not nearly as precise as Allen when he used his cosmic treadmill, West has shown to be able to traverse time and dimensions with his own powers, like Allen in Showcase #4 in 1956. However, Wally now accelerates to the point that he is skirting the very edge of the Speed Force dimension, and can traverse along the timestream to specific points as they become visible, much like watching a movie in fast forward or reverse (however, he must have a particular speedster’s vibratory signature to search for and lock onto, or be very familiar with the vibration of that time period).
On several occasions, the Flash has been shown in various races against Superman to determine which one is faster (or as part of a mutual effort to thwart some type of threat); these races, however, often resulted in ties (or indeterminate results). However, in recent races between Wally and Superman, West has been shown to be the faster of the two[11]. As explained in The Secret of Barry Allen, Wally’s ability to tap into the speed force allows him to reach greater speeds than Superman. It should, however, be noted that the Silver Age Superman was much faster than the current one.
Speedsters may at times use the ability to speed-read at incredible rates and in doing so, process vast amounts of information. Whatever knowledge they acquire in this manner is usually temporary (Bart Allen seems to be the exception, though in earlier years, Max Mercury believed that Bart’s speed learning would not stick).
Flashes and other super-speedsters also have the ability to speak to one another at a highly accelerated rate. This is often done to have private conversations in front of non-fast people (as when Flash speaks to Superman about his ability to serve both the Titans and the JLA in The Titans #2). Speed-talking is also sometimes used for comedic effect where Flash becomes so excited that he begins talking faster and faster until his words become a jumble of noise (Wally West once became so surprised that he generated a small sonic boom with his voice).
This is why Flash is faster same with SuperSonic Flash is still faster.

Sonic is known best for his speed, with the ability to run at speeds higher than Mach 1[7] (higher than roughly 761.2 mph). He is known as “the fastest thing alive," and can run backwards just as well as forwards, as shown in the Team Sonic opening cutscene of Sonic Heroes, in an episode of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and near the end of the first episode in Sonic X.
Many of his abilities are variations on the tendency for hedgehogs to roll into tight balls for protection. Since his introduction in the first Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic’s primary offensive maneuver is the basic Spin Attack (or “Sonic Spin Attack”  . As Sonic jumps or runs, he curls up and spins into a spiky ball that can damage, destroy or burrow through many obstacles. Later games in the series expanded on this basic attack. Two of these enhancements have become mainstays of his: the Spin Dash was introduced in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and involves Sonic spinning on the spot before blasting off at full speed, and the Homing Attack, officially introduced in Sonic Adventure, although unamed variations of it appeared in Sonic 3 & Knuckles and Sonic 3D Blast, in which Sonic dashes in midair toward a target.
The Peel Out or Figure 8 Dash made it’s debut in Sonic CD, but since has only had minor recurrences in the Archie Comic series and anime. In the Figure 8 Dash, Sonic stands still and his legs run fast enough to create the illusion of an infinity symbol beneath him in red. He holds this and then blasts forward. One of Sonic’s taunts in Super Smash Bros. Brawl involves him spinning his legs fast enough to make the infinity symbol beneath him while commenting on his opponents being “too slow."
With a Chaos Emerald, Sonic can warp time and space with Chaos Control. And by using all seven Chaos Emeralds, Sonic can initiate a super transformation into Super Sonic. For more information, see Super transformation. When using the Chaos Emeralds, Sonic can become Super Sonic, and with the Super Emeralds Sonic can become Hyper Sonic. In addition, the World Rings introduced in Sonic and the Secret Rings allow Sonic to become Darkspine Sonic, a powerful form powered by his negative emotions.
In the upcoming game Sonic Unleashed, he can be seen turning into a werewolf (known as WereSonic). ---

Sonic’s blue fur becomes a golden yellow color and his green eyes become red. A varying number of Sonic’s quills now stand on end, usually pointing upwards. His back quills are given an angled slant and become more pointed. Other special effects include sparkles and afterimages.
Sonic performing a super transformation as depicted in Sonic Advance.When Sonic transforms into his “Super State”, he is able to move extremely fast, jumps higher than normal, and break barriers that usually require the Spin Dash. Additionally, Sonic gains an attack called “Sonic Rumble” where he is able to damage an enemy by quickly flying directly to them from a distance and then retreating. Sonic gains an added level of resilience to enemy attacks to the extent depending on the game. However, in the early Sonic games, he is still vulnerable to death by crushing, drowning, falling off the screen or running out of time.
In Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Advance, Sonic Advance 2 and Sonic Advance 3 Super Sonic is invulnerable to most enemy attacks. In other games, Super Sonic loses fewer Rings if he’s hit. Super Sonic also plays a part in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, as Sonic’s Final Smash where he damages his opponent by ramming into them.
Super Sonic is widely viewed as a homage to Dragon Ball Z and the Super Saiyan transformations within. When asked if comments about this were received from Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama, former Sega executive producer Yuji Naka smiled and said no. Super Sonic was also originally to appear in the Hidden Palace Zone of Sonic the Hedgehog 2. However, the idea and the zone were scrapped due to time constraints.
With the power of the Super Emeralds, Sonic becomes Hyper Sonic. Sonic glows with the colors of the Chaos Emeralds, becomes surrounded by flashing sparks, and leaves afterimages. He is also able to breathe underwater, and has the added ability of a devastating lightning attack. This can be used to “double jump” in any direction and, when performed, destroys all enemies on-screen (except bosses) with a bright flash. It is also noted that when Sonic is in Hyper mode, certain objects glow multiple colors like him, such as Flickies, and Level boxes. Also, while Super Sonic is near invincible, Hyper Sonic is fully invincible.
In Sonic Unleashed, Super Sonic appears, seemingly battling Dr. Eggman in what is perhaps the doctor’s headquarters.
Sonic as Darkspine Sonic in Sonic and the Secret Rings.In Sonic and the Secret Rings, if the player collects all seven World Rings and clears the game, an extra battle can be unlocked in which the player will take control of Darkspine Sonic. Instead of the Chaos Emeralds, he is powered by the aforementioned World Rings. In this state, Sonic’s body becomes a deep indigo color, and his muzzle, stomach, and ears become white. His pupils, irises, mouth, gloves, and shoes disappear, and he gains four big glowing rings around his wrists and ankles. He also has two thick, white parallel stripes going up his forehead and down his middle quills, a white stripe around his feet and wrists, and has an orange fiery aura. In a sort of inverse situation from his other transformations, his quills do not point upwards, but instead downwards. His voice is somewhat deeper and more menacing, but his personality remains mostly unchanged, albeit much more aggressive. Unlike Super Sonic, Darkspine Sonic is not invincible, and loses 20 of his Rings if he’s hit. In exchange, he can remain in this state for probably an indefinite amount of time. He disengages this form at his own will.
While he is able to fly, his ability to sustain the transformation does not depend on Rings. He does not power down if he runs out of Rings. If the player shakes the Wii Remote, the soul gauge fills, and Darkspine Sonic can use Speed Break and Time Break. Other abilities enable Sonic to deflect Alf Layla wa-Layla’s attacks by using a barrage of kicks. He also has higher attack power and speed. ---
