Gunslinger enchants the weapon with his powers and transfers his demonic power to it. So it’s possible for it to be slightly powered because of him being half-devil.
Likely, if anything, it’s just a game thing, since it’s extremely rare he uses a non-demonic weapon and they don’t want it to be pathetically powerless.
Like I said though, moving on, because it’s either one or the other and doesn’t necessarily mean that the devils are that weak.
And, for him being overdramatic, think Shakespeare mixed in with Devil May Cry. Swear to God, it was awkward as hell lol.

That’s really why I’m staying away from those type of things, because I can nearly guarantee that in a real fight, Dante wouldn’t use a shotgun against someone like the Despair Embodied.

Like I said, it’s probably meant to be that way. They wouldn’t give a weapon that would only work on lower class devils. Why a shotgun, I don’t know, seems like a devil-hunter thing, but you would think that something that can be hurt by a shotgun would be killed instantly by something like a rocket launcher, but in lots of the battles that DEFINITELY wasn’t the case.
And, I’d say manoeuvrability and defence. Kratos can likely move pretty damn fast using the swords as a sort of grapple though, but probably not as agile with it.
then why not use a rail gun or something a gun that makes much more sense? the rocket launcher dont kill bosses that fast, but they cam kill minions rather easily. the point is, they are hurt by a normal man made weapon.
yeah, kratos dont need to move that much when hes using the blades. they are long range weapons after all.

First point: See, I always wonder this too. But then again, look at the Dante vs Agnus scene I showed you and tell me that it’s impossible for Capcom to have a few screws loose in their head lol
But, I believe Mundus was never shot with the shotgun, and the same with Abagail. The other devils are still physical beings that take damage from nearly anything, like Zeus can be hurt slightly by falling rocks. It effects him just like it effects them because they don’t have armour on, if you know what I mean.
Second point: Medium-long-ish range I think, and he might need to move quite a bit with Pandora and Dante’s trickster and gunslinger styles.

yes kratos might have a bit of trouble keeping up with the trickster style, but kratos do have an all around damage attack. he can hit anything around him. now for the guns, uhmmm, golden fleece. or, even his bow(it can make a tornado) dante is not the only one that has long range attacks. although kratos specializes in close-medium range combat.

Mundus is the angelic-looking guy at the end of DMC1, I think you might be thinking Despair Embodied in DMC2.
And Dante can close in from far range to close combat really quick, especially with trickster, and RG may even protect him entirely in close range.
