UBER 1337 Poster Rep: 35  Joined: 17 Jan 2007 Posts: 4,144 OFFLINE | Why is it that here on moviecodec, I am made to feel like a jackass, just because Im not willfully ignorant.
Why is it that if I go to ridicule someone for their beliefs, which they can not back up with evidence, (the same as I do for the flat earth people) is there a mass of people who take offence in this persons behalf.
Why is it that I am treated by a select group of religious people, as if Im a jackass all because they refuse to go to a libary and actually learn what evolution and the big bang really is.
Why Iam I the one being called jackass when correcting a creationist, that we are releated to monkeys not decended from them.
Why is it that these people can type the most ignorant crap and expected to never be ridicule.
Why is it that religious people try to distance themselfs from religious assholes (and dont take that as a personal attack if you are a religious person, you know dam well Im am only talking about the religious nuts among you) that have/wanted to burn down libary after libary, and prosecuted those who defy their religion. (Galileo anyone?) But do nothing when they claim to talk for all of christianity, or islam.
Why is it that this same intolerance to free speach, and the suppression of knowledge, which lead to the dark ages, is not feared by most people?
Why would someone want you to be ignorant of the evidence, beside being able to control you.
Why is it that people feel the need to defend a suposable infinitely powerful being?
Why is it that a infinitely powerful being could only talk to a select few for some reason, and then order them to order everyone else to obay this selected person..
Why is it that a religious person can tell me all day about what god wants, but as soon as I question anything that “god” wants, I always get the same answer, well humans can not understand gods will, and then they expect me to believe they understand gods will.
Why is it that if you make a spelling mistake or stop half way through a sentence, to have a sip of drink, and come back missing out a few words in the sentence, I have intended to type. Then sent without proof reading it, because I believe that this is just a forum, and not a paper I need to hand in to get a few more points to my total for the year, automatically makes my argument wrong?
Why is it for a select few out there, if I make you think, even just a little, then I somehow become annoying?
I could go on all day about bs like this, but I dont have the time.
Think about before posting, I know its hard for some, but just try..... plz?

It’s because that one person not being able to provide evidence for a belief in no way invalidates a belief and you need to let the others who agree with him/her present their evidence for it before calling the belief stupid, thus insulting their intelligence.

Or he could have some fuckin tolerance. I don’t agree with half the beliefs on here, but I don’t go holy rolling. If someone thinks different from him, why should it be any different?
