1.) Pretty much, yes, correct. I am worthless. I am a small part of this world. If I were to die, I would not make much of a difference to this world physically. I personally don’t find a meaning to life period, so still I consider us all worthless.
2.) Once again, that is all instinct. Our chemicals build up more to things that are more inpacting on our lives, so yes, we would get more pissed off at that because our instincts have connected us to our mothers a lot more because they have raised us. Because we still have that conscious idea that we need our parents to survive throughout our entire lives, loosing a parent would be much more devastating.
3.) (religion) What I mean by it is a figment of our imagination is kinda complex, but this is probably a better way to put it. Once again, they were pretty much stories out in our head as kids. We are constantly told that these stories were true and really happened, so, consciously, we start to believe that it is true. There is no difference, in my views, between stories from the bible or any holy book for that matter, and a bedtime story. But because we are told that these bible stories are true, we start to believe them. I hope that made a little more sense.
1. I guess in that sence, yes life would be worthless. But it’s not as if you couldn’t do anything materially good for the world. Like if you invent a cure for a deadly disease. That would have made you worth something to at least people’s lives and future generations.
2. Okay, I was just making sure because theres these kids at my school who said animals should be equal to humans, and I asked them if they thought animals should be able to vote, own homes, and drive cars and such. But your statement helps me because I had no idea the brain created chemicals more based on what is more effecting our lives.
3. Okay that does help. I can now agree with this.
