Hmm well I suppose you have to look at the things about saiyan’s that would allow him to resist or be suseptable to hypnosis.
The whole thing when a Saiyan looks at a full moon etc seams like a Saiyan is quite suseptable to mind altering things like that, Although that sort of thing is abit more genetic than anything else but it’s something.
I also recall the... what was that suff called again? The Black Water Mist? The stuff that Garlic Jr used to turn every on earth into mindcontrolled gouls.

They were mezmerized by the moon yes, but soon regained their consciousness after the transformation was complete. Namely Vegeta. And the Black Water Mist has not been tried out on a Sayian. It didn’t work on Piccolo.

First off the moon’s light triggers the transformation. Also Vegeta easily could beat Babidi’s mind control, remember he let him take him over to gain power. Also Vegeta curbstomps in base form. In SSJ it’s curbstomp x50 and well...If he gets ssj4, it’s curbstomp x9000

Well as far as Vegeata knows there is no risk in looking Itachi in the eyes, it’s not like Itachi is gonna say “oh buy the way don’t look me in the eyes because if you do I will hypnotise you”. Vegetta has had no experience with people wich are a threat buy looking you in the eye. Looking Itachi in the eye with out knowing anything about Sharingan etc is not a sign of stupidity. In fact as soon as Vegeta see’s Itachi he’ll no doubt look him right in the eyes wondering what the hell is up with Itachi’s eyes. If Vegetta knew about Sharingan he’d probably fight the whole fight with his eye’s closed.
