Goku and Vegeta point out many time’s Gohan has slacked in his training and isnt anywere close to the power he fought Cell with.
So their you have it Brolly fought an even weaker Gohan than when he first faced him in SSJ, anyway Vegeta after death could still beat brolly in SSJ2 as he is Stronger than Gohan was V SPC Cell he has a brilliant shot at winning but it will take some brain’s and that skill he is known for (it would be a hell of a battle tho if Brolly kept increaseing his power before Vegeta could strike a win) as Vegeta would lose power as Brolly gain’s it lol

What are you two on about Gohan found it extreamly difficult to sustain SSJ2 because he had not trained in 5-7yr’s so logicaly he fought Brolly in SSJ a form he could maintain without strain.

He had strain in the battle, seeing Goten, Trunks, and Videl at the mercy of Broly is what drove him over into the ssj2 state.

Sparks do not signify that he is an ssj2, the ssj3 form has sparks, but that does not make him an ssj2. The hair style is the other factor of the transformation.
This stage is very similar to Super Saiyan in appearance, where the muscles do not increase much in their mass. Other physical changes include longer upright hair. The behavior effects are the same as an unmastered Super Saiyan and every physical change remains the same color as Super Saiyan.

No, I think the amount of sparks is one of the differences between the two.
And the color. SSJ2 is somewhat more 'yellowish' while SSJ1 is more closer to 'bright yellowish.'
Like i said what make’s you think that Gohan was SSJ2?
here Gohan is training for the tornament and is in the same Doji as Movie 10 his SSJ state is also identical to Movie 10’s
If you watch the tornament saga energy Drain Gohan is seen going SSJ2 for the first time in 5-7yrs and spark’s are all around plus he become’s very aggressive in tone and attitude wanting to fight Kabito to show of his power.

That I can agree with, but they style of the hair is another way of showing the different levels of an ssj.

I agree as well. SSJ2 hair seemed to be pulled more 'upwards' than SSJ1.
Again what made Gohan’s hair seem SSJ2 to you as their wasnt a scrape of lightning at all were as normaly an accended lvl would have at least a few spark’s presant.

Yeah, he had the sparks, and the hair was also different. In style and in color. This is Gohan fighting Broly. Notice the change in style of his hair. There is not always sparks.
