I have to disagree, the wars would have happened with or without religion, but many people through out history have used religion as a excuse, and a way to get people to do what they want.
With or without religion, there would be good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things, but for good people to do bad things, it takes religion.
The thing about religion that annoys me the most is that it promotes ignorance, the more ignorant you are, the better you are at believing or/and having faith.
