Which is better? This is in music. I am more of an old school type of guy. I love the music from back in the day, not way way way back in the day when the grass was still growing.
And this goes for any genre of music. These are a few of my favorite songs.
I think a while ago, back then, music was just made to be music. The later it became more and more popular and becoming more than just music like it’s meant to be. It became more of a lifestyle that people would identify with. So at that point more and more music acts started coming about to hop on the bandwagon. As music became less about just “music”, the artists wanted more out of it. So they just started making music that was just the same stuff rehashed over and over. You can still find good bands now but it’s not as obvious.
Like, all the quality bands in the 70s-80s, were all also popular bands that most people liked. You didn’t need to look into an underground or obscure genre to find good stuff. Everything that was popular was good to listen to.
they are both pretty good... i just dont like the rap or hip hop crap going around at the moment... im more into the music from the 90s though... but there are a few bands that i would listen to from now... and by a few i mean most that dont suck... lol

Pearl Jam, EverClear, Matchbox Twenty, Switchfoot... and so on... those are the better 90’s bands imo... but there are other good ones... dont like rap or hiphop though... gets on my nerves...
old-school. There’s an infinite number of one-hit wonders that produced classic overlooked albums between 88-98, and there’s also tons of well-known masterpieces.
A couple of the greats from the 90s:
Illmatic (Nas)
Liquid Swords (GZA)
Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
OB4CL (Raekwon)
Return To The 36 Chambers (OD
Blackout! (Redman & Meth)
Whut? Thee album (Redman)
Dere Iz a Darkside (Redman)
Reasonable Doubt (Jay-Z)
Uptown Saturday Night (Camp-Lo)
Organized Konfusion
The One (Chubb Rock)
The Infamous (Mobb Deep)
Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik (Outkast)
ATLiens (Outkast)
Aquemini (Outkast)
Soul Food (Goodie Mob)
Are all some of my favorite albums, and the list goes on for a couple thousand more...
