Nevae Anariva Rep: 49  Joined: 01 Apr 2007 Posts: 9,975 | I can remember this story my dad told me (whether it’s true or not is totally questionable) that in some American state somewhere they had a little experiment where everyone was allowed to carry firearms publicly as long as they were shown, or something to the effect. From what I was told the crime rates dropped, dramatically.
If anyone is allowed to carry a gun and a public warning is issued about it, who knows. Like I said, no idea if it’s true or not and I honestly doubt it is, just thought I’d throw it in here.

A knife is useful in other ways. So are your hands and a bottle is what you use to drink out of.
A gun serves no perpres put to kill or intermediate.
guns are for protection, hunting, etc.

so? Point is guns serve more of a purpose than to just kill people. outlawing guns entirely is the dumbest thing ever.

Well they only allow them to be concealed but yes anyone can get a gun

What’s the purpose of that? If we didn’t hunt, all animals eaten would have grown up in the shitty environments that they do. At least with wild animals they’re free for their lives.

When the British officers were in the colonies, they would go into their houses, use their utilities, search without reason, and on pleanty of occasions shoot the colonists. The right was put there to prevent such a thing from happening again, or to at least allow people to protect themselves if it did. ---

I beg to differ. Dangerous as in destructive potential, sure, but other weapons can be more destructive in their brutality and unclenleliness of the wound, or more dangerous in their accuracy. Guns are to most degrees accurate. Other weapons not so much. an arrow could lose trajectory, is harder to aim and tends to ricochet off of more surfaces than a bullet. A machette is brutal. I would rather get shot than hacked with a machette.
Ho,e made explosives are volitile and dangerously powerful...
the list goes on.

knife stab you see it as it goes in and as it comes out. not to mention a machete can take off an arm whereas gun wounds you either get hurt or die fast. ---
