Arkham does a pretty good job of beating them down a little more after the brothers' second fight, and actually knocks Vergil out.
And to get really picky, in the game pretty much everything that can hit them can hurt them.

Arkham let Dante and vergil fight 2 wear them out, that why he cud do that.

UBER 1337 Poster Rep: 17Joined: 25 Oct 2007 Posts: 3,621 OFFLINE | Arkham just let Virgil and Dante wear themselve’s out he even said Virgil could beat him in an instant at full power.
Just pointing out that’s in DMC3 were Dante and Virgil are at their weakest (their 19), plus every enemy in FF can hurt you dousent mean in reality they would lol (but it is possible to go through all the DMC’s without rechiveing damage if your really REALLY good).
Another point is Weiss is just as strong as Genesis if not stronger in CC as he only get’s assighned the most difficult mission’s were as Gen was given less meaningful task’s to preform, at some point between CC and DoC an alliance was born between the two tho Weiss saveing Gen’s life to help overthrow the Restrictor’s (Nero say’s Gen is to become their brother) and Gen gaining J-Cell’s and is clearly the mastermind behind most of FFVII’s main plot story thus far “it is not yet time for slumber, we still have much work to do...my brother”.
In anycase Gen has the brain’s out of the three but it’s hard to call who stand’s as the strongest.

No one here is making assumptions.
He still knocked Vergil out, regardless if they were already weakened he weakened him more to the point of unconciousness, and didn’t have the power of Sparda. Mundus and Trish also weakened Dante in DMC1, neither of which having the power of Sparda. Abagail as well didn’t have Sparda’s power, and beat Dante down in the Anime.
And, yes, you’re making assumptions because you aren’t showing any real proof, just making an assumed conclusion based off those cutscenes.

Mundus was a reality warping God last i cheacked and killed Trish in one blast (the same blast Dante deflect’s with ease later) so he is ubove both the said enemy’s, the fact they hurt Dante isn’t what’s to be noted the fact they hurt him and he still get’s up and win’s the fight is what is to be noted.
If we use Virgil by the end of DMC3 he can beat Satan Dante DMC2 he can beat Satan in base form and Nero by the end of DMC4 he is just as strong as Dante and Virgil so three son’s of Sparda each with power to rival the God’s vs Seph Gen and Weiss i like their chances

Yeah, I know all that believe me, but what I’m trying to disprove is this idea that they can only be weakened by one with Sparda’s power.

Arkham couldn’t control it properly. Chances are he didn’t tap into the full power, where Dante and Vergil (each half-devil, do the math) could.
(Sanctus had the same problem in DMC4, but was beat by just Nero)
