Illysian Moderator Rep: 25  Joined: 01 Apr 2007 Posts: 6,756 | Specifically this is adressing my apparent inability to ban from PM messages, due to a user sending people porn through the PM system and not posting. I (and other moderators) used to be able to use the PM number to be able to ban through the PM message, yet this “trick” has apparently been disabled. Is there any other way to dispose of users breaking rules through PMs?

so i would have to use a proxy or connect to my neighbor’s router so you would not be able to track the ip to this account

because sometimes you know its going to be bad but the only way to delete it is to open it

What I think should be done is the same way the moderators can delete multiple messages by simply marking it. That’d be ideal, in my opinion.

Yeah there should be a way to delete messages without opening the message, a way for mods to delete mass amounts of PMs (Like on messages.) and a way to ban from PMs.
The last one is probably most important, the other two can be taken care of if everyone had a multiple-delete function in their PM boxes like ours (since it would be on the main PM page and not within the message, and would also apply to moderators).
There’s probably other things to be “revamped” about it too, someone once mentioned PM titles once or something.
Thing I’m most concerned about is the banning through PM’s, since that last incident with our friend from before.

Yeah, mods couldn’t delete mass PMs for anyone besides themselves, anyways, since we can only access our PM page.
