Legalized prostitution is more likely to increase sex. More sex means more babies. I do not want babies from whores taking space in this world.
I’m a believer of overpopulation.
You’re misinformed.
1) most people do not abstain from prostitution because it is illigal, most abstain because they have some sort of moral qualms about it. So legalizing prostitution would probably not reslut in hords of people chooseing to participate.
2) getting pregnant is the last thing any prostitute wants. Legalizing prostitution would make it easier and safer for workers to get the protection they need...resulting in less pregnancies not more.
3) prostitution is going to happen, and although it is the men who drive this activity it is the women who are victimized and can be put into very dangerous situations. Legalization would help relieve some of that danger and hopefully help to prevent murders and serial killings of prostitutes which have occurred in the past.
1)Actually, they do abstain from it because it is illegal. And it’s a major factor. As you have said, they have less protection if the prostitution remains illegal and could be put into dangerous situations. (And they are) When legalized, they will feel more safe and number of prostitutes are likely to increase. Moral qualm is an another major factor for both prostitutes AND the customers. Legalizing will still increase prostitution.
2)It is very likely that not many women will work for such companies due to moral qualms and its risks. And I also doubt there will be many customers to keep the business 'booming.' (Moral qualms, again.) And since there are more prostitution, there will be more STD risks and pregnancies (Even though they may be restricted, it can and will happen). Although not by much, there will be an increase in some form.
3)Prostitution is still a risky job. Women are more likely to confront violent/immoral men who do not give a **** about murdering hoes and somehow, they will get away with it. Legalizing will help such cases, but not by much.
Well, I guess I don’t really know. Who could really say what kind influence legalization has on participation. Maybe it would increase, but I still don’t think it would be anything substantial.
Again, I wont speak for sex workers, I don’t know what they want. I know that there is a sex workers organization that is fighting for unionism, I think they have a website.
You’ve contradicted yourself here. 1) prostitution will increase vs. 2) prostitution will not increase b/c moral qualms.
And I really really really really doubt that STD and pregnancies would increase…at all. Even if there were more people taking part, I really don’t think it would be so much as to tip the scales and start resulting in more STD and pregnancies given the better conditions. The math doesn’t add up for me.
But ya, who knows, that is all broad and hypothetical anyway.
The idea that legalizing prostitution will cause more pregnancy and that women who engage in prostitution are in some way less than you is very immature and very ignorant. The prostitutes that work in states or countries that Have legalized the profession are Not having more children and have Less disease than where it is pushed underground. But there’s something else to consider, prostitutes are murdered every day. Why do we have such a hard-on in this country to teach people a lesson (if they don’t agree with our ethics)? Rather than regulate the industry in order to protect these women, we say “Oh well, you shouldn’t have been doin' what you was doin." Rather than regulate the industry and minimize disease, lower taxes with the revenue, PREVENT unwanted births, and get any of them the help they need (psychological or drug addiction), we rather throw them away, as if your indignance was worth more than their lives.

So, no.
Well it isn’t like people are forced to do this kind of business. At the end, it is all about choice. BTW, are you believer of freedom of choice?

I remember having debate in speech class about lagalization of prostitution.
I was in boy team. Opposing team was girl team.
We prepared with bit of information, but was lackluster compared to opponents. At that time, I was not good at English, so I couldn’t counter argue opponents. But they brought some very solid evidences to back up their argument.
They said regulation under government.
So far, Nevada is the only state to regulate such business. What do you guys think?
Its their body, they can do what they want.

Yes sir it should. If I want to agree to pay people thus helping them get through life to have sex with me that shouldn’t be illegal and it’s unamerican that it is.

Why? People have all kinds of work in this country, what’s wrong with having a job pleasureing men/women? If I massage a girls foot that’s not illegal, why is prostitution?
