Yeah because it’s much cheaper and convenient to pay $30 a month and drive to your local gym( with gas being almost $4 a gallon), use the equipment that other ppl have been sweating all over... have to drive home, exhausted I might add, so you can go to bed and then wake up and do it all again... This is of course after, or before you go to work for the whole day, Yeah that sounds much better...NOT!
Going to the gym, in the long run, costs more than buying wii fit, since it only costs $90. Also I think this is a win for those fat american kids whose parents can’t get them to exercise outside... at least they won’t be sitting on their fat asses and maybe this will help some of them want to get up and go outside more and exercise at a “gym”, or just exercise period.
My wife asked (read: Told me no sex if I didn’t) me to import Wii Fit back when it was released in Japan. (I imported a Wii at launch) She started using it no sooner than she popped the baby out, which was around mid December. Fact is, she’s been using it for nearly 6 months now and it works very well. The thing this game does that your local gym doesn’t is track your progress with graphs and such. It helps you adjust your routine to better suit your needs. She lost about 30 pounds in the first 2 months of using it, no other exercises no gym. And now she looks just as hot as she did before she got pregnant. Thanks entirely to Wii Fit. So don’t tell me that it doesn’t work.

Zucas, that GTA comment is simply a ridiculous comparison. It’s one thing when it’s about getting fit, it’s another about getting shot. =/
Seriously, the point of GTA is to provide a simulation of that type of lifestyle without as much real pain. Wii fit is meant to help make you fit, the exact same idea of a gym. You can’t really act like a gangster in real life, rob banks, jack cars, and not worry about pain for the whole ordeal outside of GTA, while if you wanted to get fit you could go to a gym instead of getting this game.
It’s ok TR, Zucas was just getting mad because Squipple insulted Nintendo by saying that they were ripping ppl off (which in a way they partially are) and he got mad and had to make a comeback, which turns out to have actually hurt him.

U don’t have to go to a gym to workout. Play sports with ur friends. It may not be as good as a workout as lifting weights but it’s cheaper than buying Wii Fit and going to a gym .
Also my gym has a yearly membership fee of about $40. So yes it is cheaper than Wii Fit.

I thought Zucas’s comeback was quite funny.
It was prtty funny. What I mean by “it came back to hurt him” is that everyone is telling him how it wasn’t at all related to Squipple’s comment, which is true.

1. She could’ve just gone to a gym or played sports and achieved the same goal for less the price.
2. At some gyms u can record your routine and improvements. For the gyms that you can’t do that at, you can record it urslef.
3. Squipple never said it doesn’t work, he just said that it’s cheaper to go to a gym.
I can do push-ups, walk around my neighborhood, and lift anything mildly heavy around my house and get a good workout. In the mornings you stretch, all that jazz.
The point is, you can do the exact same stuff without Wii Fit.
However, some people just enjoy looking at a TV while exercising, having an 'instructor' tell them what to do, and other things. So whatever.

Your absolutely right about all of those points and the ones made earlier in response to my comment, but some ppl feel insecure about themselves and would rather stay in their “comfort zones” than parade their disfigurement all over some gym or even their neighborhood. While it is expensive, it is also a good idea... I personally will be buying it for my wife so she can start using it after she pops this baby out

My gym membership is 5 bucks a month, and it’s a damn good gym as well.
Also, I doubt the fatties will want to pick up a copy of Wii fit if it involves exercise if they won’t take the initiative to exercise in the first place.
