Doomsday has no counter for an energy attack at the level Buu would deliver. Especially not one that will turn him into a cookie. The ONLY reason that attack was countered is because it was the darker side of Buu that did it, and was familiar with the attack, Buu himself being a magic being.
Aside from that, Buu could easily survive a supernova.

Regular Rep: 2Joined: 09 Mar 2008 Posts: 320 OFFLINE | If you reference DCU guide, it stated about Doomsday, quote, " though it is highly unlikely he could hope to surpass a more cosmic force." end quote.That can be debatable, but Doomsday gradually adapts to greater and greater powers, there is really no limit to his evolution. However, if Doomsday went up against against Cosmic foes or matter manipulating entities I don’t think he would be sufficiently transcendant to withstand or less evolve beyond it. In any case, ever since HunterPrey came out, and Doomsday’s origin was revealed, I never quite understood how this marginally believable regenerative ability so greatly exceeded the initial design. All they were originally training his genes to overcome was these awful creatures on early Krypton and the hostile envirnoment. I can see how momentum would have allowed a little further development of his adaptive ability. I can see him overcoming decapitation, massive destruction of his organs, suffocation, radiation poisoning, etc. These things I can see Doomsday overcoming.
But, should a matter manipulator at a cosmic level such as buu blast his individual atoms into the a volume of space equivalent to our solar system how could this mad scientist’s long ago experiment have primed Doomsday to have recovered from such a trauma?

Its the fact that he one shotted Doomsday that makes it even more impressive.If Imperiex would have tried to destroy the DBZ universe he would have succeeded.

DD could heat vision his head clean off, or incinerate him into dust...nope he does’nt have those...Buu would regenerate. He would freeze him..does’ny have those either. Buu would bust out. He could try anything...Buu would regen from anything physical.
There is very little that Dd can do to Majin Buu that Buu just can’t regenerate from. DD would have to completely de-atomize him to kill him, and even then, Buu is SO far above Dd in terms of reflexive speeds that it probably wouldn’t even connect. This fight either ends with Dd fleeing for his life at top speed, Dd being physically bludgeoned to a pulp and K.O.ed after a fight, or Dd just simply being turned into a piece of candy and eaten as a snack.
