Well I’ve never seen Epic as that great of a developer as a whole. Luckily Cliffy B seems to be really good at his job so I’m sure he’ll do a great job. I mean I’m sure Gears 1 turned out half assed because of the corporation Epic not allowing him to complete his dream.
They were also limited tech wise with a very (at the time) limited and un optimized engine, which they’ve spent months changing, so I’m sure that opens up more options to follow his dream, he’s just gonna have to beat the staff of epic to near death to get them to follow it...
Definetly.

Very Odd...
Ditto on that CPO, but this game will be damn good and not even Zucas can deny that
As long as Epic doesn’t fuck it up.
I don’t think they will... they’re trying to kill MGS4 with this one so I doubt they will “half-ass it..." as you say
nah, MGS4 and Gears 2 are both 2 totally different fields, they are targeting resistance and killzone with this.
I don’t think it will be hard to kill both of those, since killzone 1 was balls, I doubt that KZ2 will even be a console seller, and Resistance has to do a lot to make up for the shortcomings of it’s predecessor... I really don’t think that it’s gonna be hard for Gears2 to eliminate those 2 in one swipe.
Well gears 2 is pretty much already more badass then both, (chainsaw!! KHGAHAG!!!!) but Resistance 2’s 8 player co-op is kinda sweet.
And KZ2 is just pathetic, over 4 years of development and still in pre alpha?
Some of the biggest games have taken even longer than that and sent years in the earliest stage or stages.

The only game that comes to mind which is like that is Half life 2, and it was like that for good reason, it was a revolutionary FPS with it’s mix of Amazing Characters, graphics, gameplay, story, and puzzels.

lol They won’t kill MGS4. MGS4 has too much over it and is way too big. But they could 'kill' Resistance 2.
The game looks like crap though. The technical part is amazing but after playing the first game I don’t see any of their additions fixing the gameplay. Why can’t I shoot when I run?! Having to be against a wall or behind cover in order to get your bullets to hit was retarded. I remember all the times when 2 or more people would be in the open right by each other and running around trying hit each other. The controls really made it difficult, goofy, and annoying.
In reference to the highlighted section in the above statement... What game were you playing because I know it wasn’t GoW on the 360. I have played that game for nearly 2 yrs now and I have never had any trouble firing while I’m running, nor have I had to be “in cover” to get my bullets to connect with my targets.

Duke Nukem. There are others you probably don’t even know spent most of their time as just concept art and stuff.
Team Fortess spent far longer going from the early stages to betaish stages and then starting all over again from scratch than Killzone 2.
The only reason you know Killzone 2 spent that much time in those stages was because they announced it.
Most of the time companies don’t tell you anything until it’s pass that stage or if it’s going to come out no matter what.

It most certainly was Gears of War. I’ll tell you a secret. You never had problems because you’re a nerd. Nerds never have problems with games they like. That was 1 Gears of Wars bigger flaws. It had funky controls when it came to running and gunning.

You know why I think you like it? It’s a different level setup with a multitude of options and different ways to overcome your foes (for an FPS). Take a look at the level we saw; Notice your target is on another vehicle moving around, bumping up, down, left, right instead of a solid playing surface popping up behind a 3 feet tall block of wall. That in itself add a lot more skill to aiming and makes the atmosphere more intense. Not only is all that going on but there’s a huge battle outside the vehicle with Giant Bromaks fighting COG heavy artillery with A.I. and thousands of things going on plus the battle your player is engaged in.
As I said in the 1st Gears, the Camera is spectacular. It gives a feel of watching a movie with great camera effects yet you’re the player of the game.
With the Additional Chainsaw minigame and other new featured moves, Gears 2 really gets you into an intense, fun, kick-ass fucking game all around! Cliffy B. knows his shit and doubt he’ll disappoint.

Well maybe it was bad for running and gunning because when you go past the casual difficulty setting it was all about using cover... Hmmm DEDEDE

It most certainly was Gears of War. I’ll tell you a secret. You never had problems because you’re a nerd. Nerds never have problems with games they like. That was 1 Gears of Wars bigger flaws. It had funky controls when it came to running and gunning.
Haha
The controls were a little strange at first, but once you got hang of it, they were actually very innovative 3rd Person Shooter controls which were in fact very innovative for the genre.
I’m not talking about the overall the controls.
I’m talking about the controls when it came to running and gunning. That part was far from innovative. In fact, it was dinoshit. Except the chainsaw. That was the best part.
The controls were fine but not 'innovative'. 007 and Rainbow Six did it before Gears of War or better.
Haha
When we all get our Gears 2 and enjoy the ever living fuck out of it, saying how righteous it is, I’m sure you’ll sit there bitching about gears 1 still. Hahaha

lol They won’t kill MGS4.

Well maybe it was bad for running and gunning because when you go past the casual difficulty setting it was all about using cover... Hmmm DEDEDE
Then tell me why in Rainbow Six, a game with a better duck and cover system that was all about using cover, didn’t have control issues when it came to running and gunning.
Oh, and I was talking about controls and not difficulty... Hmmm
