My favorite overall are the fighters. there’s nothing more timely in strategic planning than a fighter, especially when it’s a frame specific move. my second would have to be between RPGs and survival horrors.

Survival horrors just make me paranoid and frustrated.
Survival horrors and are good because the players aren’t as powerful as their enemies and have to focus on survival and evasion using problem solving skills. The fear element is also a lot more thrilling than the simple element of competition in most games.
In FPS games it takes 1 million shots to kill the player and 1 shot to kill the final boss on expert difficulty. Not only that, but FPS games never have fresh ideas, it’s all the same bullshit with unoriginal weapons, minor differences in landscape and crappy plot lines.
RPG’s are boring too. All you do is fight the same enemies over and over until you level up. Tactics and dexterity aren’t necessary, the only factor in how good you are is the total amount of time you’ve spent grinding for experience points.
RTS’s are for pros because the winner is determined by things such as battle tactics and economy management.
