The main reason that this was made is for the vs topics that are going to last, like Goku vs Superman for example. They need rules and ways to go about the debate since most of them get out of hand, and someone ends up losing it, or gets banned, which has happened before. Those that are threads as 1indianfininte has just posted can be made when they want.

It simply is, seriously. One of the the things the TC is asking is, quite literally, “Don’t make stupid vs topics” or “You can’t make vs topics that don’t make sense."
This goes against the point of Moviecodec itself. It doesn’t make much sense for a moderator to enforce rules like this. If someone wants to make an overly retarded topic, let them. That’s the point for a forum. And like I said, it’s simply impractical to enforce different rules to a single section.
If there is anything I’ve learned in my 2 years here on Codec. It’s that suggestions like these never work. Ever.

If you haven’t noticed, no one has told anyone not to make stupid topics, or enforce them not to. This is only used for those topics that last, like Goku vs Superman, or Samus vs Master Chief. We are not telling anyone to do anything they don’t want to.
