I just show respect and that’s why I’m not a jackass towards most of them unless they are to me.

Well, really, I know of no such thing. What about the inquisition? Or the persecution of Jews in the middle ages? Missionary work? Or even the belief that if people do not follow Jesus they go to hell? This was not to offend, but let’s face the facts. Christianity cares alot about what people think. That is how they have gotten all of their control.

I wouldn’t say that the religion cares about how people think. It’s more of the people who are Christians care what people think. Not all Christians are like that though. I am not that way. I do care what someone think, though I don’t care so much as to do something to the extreme about it.

I think you would be right...in a sense.
God is a ideal that many cling to to give their life direction and meaning in times when they lack one or both of these things. I do believe there is life after death but not in the sense of angels and heaven and all that christian idealology that gets thrown about so much. Seeing as we are comprised of energy, that energy has to go somewhere when we die, the energy has with it a certain conciousness that is our soul and that is what we live on with untill we are recycled. The ideal of god is merely a stonger energy impulse which others are drawn to.
He or she isn’t some almighty being that is out to smite mankind or grant admission to heaven, hell the term 'god' is only a manmade name that we have labeled him/her with. There is no 'god' persay, but rather a more powerful being with conciousness that has existed for a great deal of time whom we puport to be the answer for everything.
