Can’t a moderator easily make a decision and lock a thread.
But would that be actually fair? Neither side would have a voice in the matter. The debate would be concluded, but we would not know who the victor would be. If that is what happens, then there would be no point in making the thread at all right? Thus they should be settled when there is no other choice, such as this thread itself.
