Actually no. Broly was winning, but Trunks intercepted his blasts that allowed Goku and the others to over power him. Plus it was only a beam struggle, if it were a real fight then I’m sure there’d be more damage
Okay so add in a weakened normal form Trunks blast. Not going to change much.
It makes all the differnce in the world if it makes Broly go from laughing like a mad man to being flung into space. A small window of oppertunity was given. If things continued the way they were going Broly would have won | |

What I mean is something like this. Someone claims that a said character can destroy a universe, without proof of this, then it is not true. Someone says that a certain character can move at the speed of light, or warp dimensions. Without proof of this, then it is not true. It is nothing more than opinion or assumptions.
