I have extremely mixed views about God.

First off, since I’ve been going through a pretty hard breakup, I’ve been cursing him for allowing his children to go through such pain.

On the other hand, though, my father claims miracle after miracle. He’s been through 3 surgeries in the last year, all of which he was given less than a 10 percent chance of living and made it through all of them without any complications.

But once again on the first, he’s a super dedicated Christian and is even a registered Bishop for the protestant church and is still living in poverty with new medical problems arising at nearly every turn. Right now he’s looking at laser eye surgery because he’s bleeding behind his right cornea.

Yeah, they say everything happens for a reason. But sometimes it’s hard to stomach.

Things have been kind of going downhill since then.

I suppose, but to be honest most of the time I want nothing to do with God anymore.

I find that God, if he/she exists, is a hypocritical emotionless prick.

Going on the assumption that God exists, Maybe hes just trying to make you a stronger person for a higher course or reason? I mean your dad has some strong convection’s and believes. I would say he had to enjer some kinder suffering to get to where he is to day. I would say that it would pay you to have a little faith. You have a strong roll model and all the prof you need in your dad.

And this comes from,,,, Well am not sure what I believe in. I well remain open minded. I don’t believe in what the bible would interpret. I am certenly not religious but do believe there has to be moor then what where able see. I do believe that each and every one of us has our own path to fallow.

I think it sucks that we have to search for him.
I think its not fair for us to go through life feeling pain and misery and at death not knowing for sure what the meaning of life is.
Its not fair for us to have such a great hunger for knowledge. Its like starving outside of a grocery store, while earnestly looking into the window.

Why can’t we know what he knows?
