On the other hand, though, my father claims miracle after miracle. He’s been through 3 surgeries in the last year, all of which he was given less than a 10 percent chance of living and made it through all of them without any complications.

But once again on the first, he’s a super dedicated Christian and is even a registered Bishop for the protestant church and is still living in poverty with new medical problems arising at nearly every turn. Right now he’s looking at laser eye surgery because he’s bleeding behind his right cornea.

Going on the assumption that God exists, Maybe hes just trying to make you a stronger person for a higher course or reason? I mean your dad has some strong convection’s and believes. I would say he had to enjer some kinder suffering to get to where he is to day. I would say that it would pay you to have a little faith. You have a strong roll model and all the prof you need in your dad.

And this comes from,,,, Well am not sure what I believe in. I well remain open minded. I don’t believe in what the bible would interpret. I am certenly not religious but do believe there has to be moor then what where able see. I do believe that each and every one of us has our own path to fallow.

If god wanted to make Cid a stronger person then why not just do it? Not only will it save Cid the pain he experienced (or is currently experiencing) but it would probably save god a lot of time and effort.

I totally agree with you actually. just I was saying to cid from the bible’s point of view how most ppl who have a faith would look at it.

I feel it can pay to look at things fro other peoples eyes from time to time. An art that seams to be lost in to days world smiley

I’ve questioned certain aspects of God with an earnest heart and an intention of coming closer to Him. In reply He has brought me closer to Himself, answered my questions, and dispersed my disbelief.

God punished the human race for choosing sin, with physical disabilities. These struggles serve to bring us closer to Him. He wants us to be stronger, but isn’t about to give us steroids. You have to persevere, for the muscles to grow.

A small excerpt from my life:

Several years ago my cousin died in a car accident. It seemed to be her punishment for ditching her parents, and going out with the wrong guys. This incident brought a shadow of doubt over me, and almost made me look at God as a cruel master.

With time the scar healed. I corrected my misconception of God, and gained a new understanding of Him.

God turns evil, into good.

Not to insult your cousin, but it actually sounds like she had it coming. If your going to go out with the wrong guys then obviously there will be drugs, alcohol, partying, crimes, any of these things which would be attributed with the accident that happened. Of course I’m just assuming this if the accident was impaired driving related.

Even if it wasn’t, that doesn’t mean you should assume she was being punished. I mean how sadistic is that? “Oh this person got hurt, they must be getting punished for something”. Life has an element; it’s called chance. Accidents happen. If an airplane part falls on your house, it is an accident. If you find a 5 dollar bill on the sidewalk, it is an accident. No magical intervention, no magical wrath, these are just accidents.

This may not seem comforting, but here is another way to look at it: Your loved one dies in a completely random car accident where nobody could possibly be blamed. Is it more comforting to know the accident happened because of bad luck or is better to think the accident could have been prevented by an omnipotent being that could have stepped in and saved them from an untimely death, but your god decided to just let them die? You don’t have to be frustrated thinking “Was it because I didn’t pray enough?" “Was God mad at me or them?" “Maybe I should have prayed more." Because thats what sounds like happened to you.

Well, the only reason that he destroyed the world at that time was because of the Wickedness of Mankind, selecting those who were righteous to be saved from the destruction.

I heard it also had something to do with angels having sex with humans but that could be one of the random jewish stories like the Lilith and Adam thing.

Yeah, the half human, half angel hybrids. It was the fallen angels from what I have heard. They called the hybrids the Nephilim?

All I heard was that there were angelxhuman relations. Which I guess I can understan why...I mean is there even female angels? If not...Well...All male angels might need someone to cuddle with. Why not the people who look like their creator?

I unno. From what else I hear, the women who give birth to these Nephilim die after childbirth. Have you seen the movie that has been shown on ABC Family?
