Okay, let’s say God’s life is a never ending line. and in the middle of this line is when God created the world.
Here is the point.
God never created the world.
Because the time before he got to that point is infinite, and never ending, he never would have reached the point of making the planet.
This was an idea I came up with, and I thought it was interesting.

Exactly. Which also leads to the idea, “what created God?"

I’ll answer that.
God was never created. He was born. ---

Correct, god was born. Born, in fact, from the dark hearts of men. ---

So, if what you’re saying is true...
then if the Universe is infinite, then Earth can’t exist! ---

incorrect, because we know the earth wasn’t always here. ---

I know. It was created somewhere in the middle of the Universe, but since the Universe is infinite on either side, Earth can’t exist.
I’m just saying, it’s an interesting theory, but there’s not really anyway to prove it, and I also believe that God is eternal. ---

One that makes no sense even if any of that were true. But secondly the universe isn’t infinite on either side, it’s actually finite but growing infinitely. ---

Agent of Chaos Rep: 54 Joined: 10 Aug 2005 Posts: 39,966 OFFLINE | Petrosky- your looking at time as if it were a numbers. Time isn’t a number. We don’t know everything about time to say how time can be infinite in the negative direction. But we do know that if time was infinitely negative and that we are in the present, then at some point there had to be a beginning to time. Otherwise we wouldn’t be here at this moment. Now we may think that duration of time to be infinite simply because our lifespan is so small. We think 100 yrs is long. But maybe to a superior being an infinity isn’t that long at all.
Once again it comes from ignorance of human kinda bout the mysteries of the universe. WE can’t keep giving them human thoughts about them because its above it. It’s like you can’t think how to play a baseball game by thinking like a football player. It’s just something we may never understand. But that does not mean you replace those ignorances with somethign that will make sense to us, such as a superior being. ---
