I reeeeely doubt that was flying,he was more likely jumping like all other ninjas do.
Cause if he was actualy flying Kakashi and others will be amazed and someone would definetly said something like “OMG he can fly!".Kishimoto wouldnt let this Madaras ability to be that unnoticeable.
Also Madara never showed that power before and no one ever mention anything about him flying.If he actualy had that ability,that would became legendary like his teleportation.

That wasn’t flying at all. He didn’t fly anywhere, otherwise we would have seen his body moving toward the destination. It was teleportation.
